Journey from Bangalore to Bombay (15 days / 14 nights)

The centre of India is a region that is unfortunately very little visited, but which nonetheless harbours many treasures and a culture all its own. You'll set off from Bangalore, the technological heart of modern India, for the famous city of pleasure and kingdom of Bollywood: majestic Bombay. During this atypical trip, you'll take time to appreciate Goa, India's only former Portuguese colony, where heavenly coves and beaches stretch as far as the eye can see.

Itinerary: Bangalore-Hampi-Badami-Hubli-Goa-Bombay-Ile Elephanta

Day 1 France -> Bangalore

Flight from France to Bangalore. Typical welcome with a flower necklace and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Bangalore

After breakfast you will visit the city of Bangalore and its most interesting and characteristic tourist sites. You will also discover the great botanical garden of Lal Bagh. Lunch in a typical restaurant during the visits. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 Bangalore - Hospet

After breakfast departure for Hospet. Hospet is known as the gateway to the incredible site of Hampi, which you will explore the following day. During your journey you will be able to appreciate the extraordinary nature of the countryside and the daily life of its inhabitants. Lunch en route. Arrive in Hospet at the end of the day and check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Hospet - Hampi - Hospet

After breakfast, departure for Hampi, capital of the ancient Kingdom of Vijayanagar which dominated the whole of South India from the 14th to the 16th centuries. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon devoted to visiting the sanctuaries: the Virupaksha temple dedicated to Shiva, the Tiruvengalanatha temple famous for its erotic sculptures and the Vitthala temple, dedicated to Vishnu. Return to Hospet in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Hospet - Badami

After breakfast, departure for the quiet town of Badami. Arrive in Badami and check into your hotel. Lunch at the hotel. You will then set off to explore the surrounding area. Badami is a fairly remote village where many farmers live. It also has many wine cellars and the magnificent Banashankari temple, which you will visit. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Badami - Pattadakal - Badami

After breakfast, you will drive to Pattadakal. The historic site of Pattadakal is a veritable complex made up of a multitude of temples characterised by a blend of architectural styles from central and northern India. During the day you will visit the most important temples, such as Virupaksha, Mallikarjuna and Papanatha. At the end of the day return to Badami. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Badami - Hubli

After breakfast, departure for Hubli. Lunch en route. This long day's drive, punctuated by stops in villages, will give you an insight into rural India. Arrive in Hubli and check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Hubli

After breakfast, visit the city of Hubli, the largest in the state of Karnataka after Bangalore. Hubli is characterised by its impressive architecture and its many temples of great beauty. Visit the Bhavanishankar Temple, Chandramouleshvara Temple and Asar. At the end of the day, stroll through the labyrinth of the bazaar. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 Hubli - Goa

After breakfast, departure for Goa, a former Portuguese colony. Lunch en route. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. You will then discover the most interesting tourist sites. These include old churches, cathedrals, forts, markets, museums and art galleries. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Days 10 to 12 Goa

After breakfast the day is free for shopping, the beach or other activities. Lunch during the day. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 Goa - Bombay

After breakfast, and depending on your flight time, transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Mumbai. Arrival and lunch. At the end of the day, visit to the city of passions. This city will truly amaze you with its diverse culture, its fashion, its people and of course Bollywood... Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 Bombay - Elephanta Caves - Bombay

After breakfast, departure by boat for the Elephanta caves. The island of Elephanta lies in the middle of the Indian Ocean near Bombay, and is home to some remarkably beautiful caves. This site has been a World Heritage Site since 1987. After the visit, return to Mumbai for lunch. Then visit the Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Mondays). Then on to the Gate of India, a monument built in 1911 and 26 metres high. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 Day 15 Goa - Bombay -> France

After breakfast, and depending on your flight time, transfer to Bombay International Airport for your flight to France. End of our services. Arrival in France.
