The state of Madhya Pradesh is a veritable jewel of India, and there are many adjectives that could be attributed to it. Nevertheless, it is undeniably characterised by its peaceful and wild side. It is the kingdom of the country's great nature reserves, home to India's emblematic animal: the majestic tiger. An adventure and discovery tour in the heart of the world that inspired Rudyard Kipling and gave birth to the world-famous novel The Jungle Book.


Itinerary: Delhi-Jhansi-Orchha-Khajuraho-Bandhavgarh Reserve-Chougan-Kanha Reserve-Pench Reserve-Nagpur

Day 1 France / Delhi

Flight from France to Delhi. Typical welcome with a flower necklace and, depending on your arrival time, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 Delhi / Jhansi / Orchha(Train)

After breakfast, transfer to Delhi station and train to Jhansi. Arrival, welcome and transfer to Orchha, lunch en route. Arrival in Orchha. The magnifience of Orccha remains frozen in stone by time. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 Orchha

After breakfast, you will discover the marvellous temples of Orchha situated on the banks of the river. Lunch during the visits. Then the afternoon is free to explore the city and take the time to stroll around. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Orccha / Khajuraho

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Khajuraho. Arrive in Khajuraho and check into your hotel. In the afternoon you will visit the famous temples of Khajuraho built by the Chandela Kings between the 10th and 11th centuries. You will visit the most important of these temples, the temple of Chaunseth Yogini, dedicated to the goddess Kali. You can also visit the Mahadev, Chitragupta and Bharatji temples, all decorated with erotic statues depicting scenes from the Kamasutra. Lunch during the visits. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Khajuraho / Bandhavgarh Reserve

After breakfast, departure for Bandhavgarh Park. On the way you will enjoy some splendid scenery. Lunch en route. Arrival at Bandhavgarh. Check-in at your lodge. Departure for the impressive tiger reserve. You will explore this enchanting Indian jungle on a safari during which you will meet the tigers and other inhabitants of these places who live in perfect harmony with nature. After a wonderful time in the reserve, return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Bandhavgarh Reserve

During your stay, you'll take the time to discover the former hunting reserve of the Maharajas, where the white tiger, then naturally known as the Rewa Tiger, was first observed. This 450 km² reserve is covered mainly by clear, green forest. It is undoubtedly a perfect place to observe more than 20 species of mammal. These include the small red gazelle, the shy four-horned antelope, the mongoose, the wolf, the golden jackal... Close to the herds of deer, axis and sambar, which it loves, the tiger has an undisputed dominance over the animal population of Bandavgarh. It is on the back of an elephant led by its mahout that you will watch in absolute silence for the arrival of the master of the place. Meals and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7 Bandhavgarh / Chougan

After breakfast, departure for Chougan, a small, quiet village in the heart of the countryside. It is here that the ancient palaces of Maharana and Maharani stand, veritable treasures of the glory of a bygone empire. This day away from the usual tourist trails will be an opportunity to discover life in the Indian countryside in all its authenticity. Lunch during the visits. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Chougan / Kanha

After breakfast, departure for the Kanha nature reserve. Arrival, check-in at the hotel and lunch. Afternoon game drive in the lush Kanha forest in search of Barasingha deer, the famous tigers, elephants and Langur monkeys. Return to the lodge at the end of the day. Free time. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9 Kanha

After breakfast, this day will be devoted to rediscovering the reserve and will be an opportunity to go in search of the animals you missed the day before. Return to the hotel for lunch before setting off into the jungle again in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Kanha / Pench

After breakfast, departure for the Pench nature reserve. Less frequented and much quieter, it is ideal for observing and meeting animals. Arrive and check into your hotel. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Pench / Nagpur / Delhi

After breakfast, departure for a safari in the park. You will discover the marvellous lakes that form the border between the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. You will also discover the "ghost trees", which can be identified by their white colour. Lunch at the hotel then departure for Nagpur airport to catch your flight to Delhi. Welcome at the airport, transfer, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 Delhi / France

After breakfast, you will set off to explore Old and New Delhi. You will visit the most important and significant places in the Indian capital. During the day, you will admire the Gate of India, a monument to the soldiers who gave their lives in the First World War. You can also visit the Humanyo Tomb, a magnificent example of Mughal architecture. Lunch during the visit. You will then set off to discover the new Delhi, with the Raj Ghat housing the memorial to Gandhi, the father of the nation. You will be able to contemplate the Qutub Minar, also known as the Victory Tower, which remains the tallest tower in India and the third tallest in the world. Finally, you'll head to the Connaught district, which is characterised by its lively, modern feel. Here you can see the Presidential Palace, Parliament and the country's other institutions. At the end of the day, you'll have time to shop for souvenirs. Then, depending on your flight time, transfer to Delhi airport to catch your international flight to France. End of our services.
